What we do for Aquatonics UK Ltd.
We have provided mechanical labour for various Aquatonics UK projects since 2013.
Aquatonics UK work in commercial construction, and it’s essential that we provide them with the workers who have the right skill set and attitude towards work. As well as sourcing operatives who have the expertise required, we have also arranged specific training for operatives who did not have the relevant experience. We only ever provide workers who have the licence required for the project site, so upskilling operatives ensure we can provide the best possible workers.
Our most recent and prestigious project with Aquatonics UK was the new Grange Hospital in Cwmbran. Aquatonics UK engaged our services early on in the process, and required us to source a team of experienced mechanical operatives. The operatives were varied and included supervisory positions, plumbers and pipefitters.
Retention of workers on such a large project is key to receiving the best results. In order to retain workers and maximise efficiency, we encouraged Aquatonics UK to introduce an incentive payment increase of £1.00 per hour after the first 6 months on-site. This enabled us to encourage the same workers to stay on the project for the full 12 month duration.
The Grange Hospital project required all workers to have an IPAF licence. We organised the licence for all workers, and arranged training for any operatives who were not already in possession of the licence.
