The Building Engineering Services Association (BESA)

At P.I.E.R we are able to offer our workers and clients discounted training through BESA.

Previously known as the HVCA, BESA prides itself on being the Trade Association for members active in the design, installation, commissioning, maintenance, control and management of engineering systems and services in buildings.

You must know your Pier Worker Number or your Pier Client Number to be eligible for the discount code P.I.E.R2021.

Membership

For individuals who want to be part of the BESA community we offer BESA Associate membership, where you can exchange views and knowledge, mentor the next generation or benefit from the wealth of experience held within the sector. (include video)

  • Those who are retired, have been made redundant or unemployed and wish to retain their connection to the building services sector
  • Industry experts, academics and consultants who wish to exchange views, information and best practice

The industry-recognised card issuing and personnel registration scheme for people working in the mechanical sector of the building engineering services industry throughout the UK.

BESA Academy

BESA Academy is the leading learning solution for building engineers. We provide a specialist range of training courses, apprenticeships, assessments and free CPD, enabling you to develop your career within building engineering services.

All of our courses are flexible, can be completed at your own pace and accessed from your PC or laptop whilst at work, home or on the go. We also offer a range of short courses which are delivered face to face at our BESA approved training centres located across the country.

Online H&SE Test

This online course is designed for those within the heating, ventilating, air conditioning and refrigeration occupations, can be completed in less than 3 hours and meets the health and safety requirements for all Craft and Operative SKILLcards.
