Services to the built environment are delivered by a fully integrated electrical and mechanical division whose director, managers, engineers, planners, supervisors and artisan staff have extensive experience in this sector.
Review of Tender documents on receipt to ensure its completeness and highlight any onerous t&cs.
Comply with internal Enquiry & Contract Operation Procedures
Organize / take part in bid initiation, mid tender review & tender adjudication meetings.
Ensure that tender clarifications are communicated to our clients at early stage
Co-ordinate & follow-up to ensuring post bid clarifications are addressed.
All in-house co-ordination for preparation of tender bid including follow-up, collection of input from various sub-contractors or 3rd party.
Clear understanding of work scope & best estimation with respect to execution of project.
Ensure that commercial submissions to tenders are fully complied with all necessary details.
Responsible to verify detailed MTOs (quantity take-off) from tender documentation.
Ensure the Estimate is built up methodically and in sufficient detail and is in accordance with good estimating practice.
Ensure completeness of Subcontract Enquiry Packages and availability of Subcontract offers
If requested prepare / review the in conjunction with proposed project team the construction programme, providing man hours and equipment requirement for each activity
Assist Manager in the identification, evaluation and ranking of risks to include within Major Project Risk Assessment
Ensures the Estimate Basis is “Current Costs” and escalation is properly covered. Wherever possible a good value of estimate contingencies to be captured.
Present to Divisional Manager for review the Cost Estimate in detail prior to Tender adjudication.
Prepare list of clarifications and qualifications to the proposal.
When requested, carry out peer review of estimates compiled by others, checking for completeness, pricing accuracy and adequate manning and resource requirements.
Participate in Tender Handover meetings and Project Kick Off meetings.
Maintain Lessons Learnt database from existing projects to ensure Continuous improvement.

QUALIFICATIONS & EXPERIENCE
A Degree/HNC in an Engineering-related discipline (e.g. Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Controls Engineering, etc.) Preferred
Technical aptitude is required – candidates must be proficient with the usage of MS-Office, Visio / basic CAD, estimating software (SEC, Amtech or similar)
Familiarity with control systems, HV installation and data systems
Strong Technical Writing Skills.
Strong interpersonal skills – successful candidates will communicate effectively, possess strong writing skills.
Highly organized, excellent problem solver, strong attention to detail and ability to prioritize and multi-task.
Minimum of five (5) years in similar role or project management
Availability to travel within the UK as necessary
Full UK drivers license
